YouPaidWhat-used cars
The 2007 BMW’s fifth generation 5 series mid size sedan has more room space for both the trunk and backseat than its four generation cousin. There are three 5 series models to choose from and all have the new all-aluminum frontend shell. The different BMW 5 series available for 2007 are the base model (the 525), the mid-range model (the 530) and the top model (the 550). The BMW 525 competes against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6, just to name a few. My research will be on the BMW 525 model as a used vehicle to look at.
The 2007 525 uses a tire press system and an auxiliary audio input system that monitors both of these components. In 2007 there were new options that could be included in the 525 package, these included BMW “Night Vision” (which uses thermal imaging that can show images of what’s ahead on the iDrive screen), HD radio and real time traffic info that is included in the navigation system.
The BMW’s 525 exterior has the “lean forward dynamics” platform design and comes standard with 17 inch tires. The 525 has quad headlights that are surrounded by the front twin kidney grille. The BMW 525 uses its historical reverse crick for the rear door window and the turn signals use a clear lens. The 525 comes standard with adaptive brake lights and the rear trunk has high lid’s.
BMW used cars like the 2007 525 is a five seated mid-range sedan. It comes standard with dark popular wood trim and leather upholstery seats. Both front seats come standard with a ten way seat adjustment but a twenty way seat adjustment is an option (the seats are powered). The “ iDrive” was added to the 2007 5- series model. The iDrive control system is a touch screen display that controls most of cars entertainment and navigation systems. Other goodies that come standard with BMW 5-series used cars are a 10 speaker CD stereo with twin subwoofers and Rain sensing wipers.
The BMW 525 has a six cylinder, 3.0-litre engine and this produces 215 horsepower with 185 pounds, per feet of torque. This a rear wheel drive transmission and comes in either a six speed manual or a six speed “Steptronic” automatic (the automatic has both manual and sport delivery options).
Some safety features that are standard in the 525 are Dynamic Stability Control, Antilock brakes, side impact airbags for both front seats and rear seats.
I hope this helps if you’re looking at BMW used cars like the 525.
